We are very lucky to live in an area that has an abundance of some great places to eat, whether you want to walk across the Sissinghurst estate for a pub lunch in one of the oldest pubs in the area or take a ride out to have lunch on a terrace with a view over a local vineyard to sample some of their award winning English wines or maybe even a special intimate supper at one of two michelin restaurabnts less than 10 minutes away.

The Vine , Goudhurst TN17 1AG Tel: 01580 211753
Another fine Kentish pub serving local food and drink .This early 17th Century building in the village of Goudhurst has been restored to a cosy and welcoming pub and restaurant serving modern British food along with traditional bar snacks. Frazer and I have visited The Vine several times during the winter months and would really recommend it, the staff are very helpful and the management have taken a lot of care with sourcing their food and drink i know they have sent all the staff to Chapel Down to see how the wine is made and also to Park Farm in Hawkhurst to visit the farm from where the meat is supplied.
